Secrets To Effective And Permanent Weight Loss
If you have struggled with weight loss then it is important to realize that even if you have tried multiple diet and exercise programs you are probably closer than you think to finding a permanent solution. The key is to not quit, you have heard the saying that quitters never win and winners never quit so hang in there. For most people, weight loss is a science and is a matter of simply burning more calories than you consume. Unfortunately most people respond to this by dramatically reducing their caloric intake but this is a mistake.
Do not starve yourself:
Other than the obvious fact that starving yourself is very painful you need to realize that when you starve yourself your body responds by lowering its metabolism or fat burning rate dramatically which means that even though you are eating less it will still be difficult to lose weight since you are not burning that many calories also. The secret is to build a high metabolism and eat a balanced diet. The key to developing a higher metabolism is to exercise properly with both aerobic exercise and weight training routines.
Taking up a sport like soccer, tennis or golf can be a great way to get a good cardio workout while having fun at the same time. Consider getting a simple bench and free weights so you can get a weight training workout from home. If you are new to strength training then consider getting a gym membership and taking a few personal training sessions so you can learn the right exercises and techniques for the best results. Women must not shy away from weight training and think that it is only for men as that is not true. Training once a week is often enough for most people that lift weights in order to build and maintain solid muscle mass. Remember that muscle burns calories constantly so even putting on a little of it can really make a big difference in attaining effortless weight loss and keeping that weight off.
